Mary Peters, A British nationality, she lives in Lisburn outside of Belfast. She was Eleven when she moved to Ballymena. Mary won a gold medal summer Olympics in Munich in 1972 for women pentathlon. she was also appointed Dame commander of the order for the British Empire. Not only that in the common wealth games she won two gold medals in pentathlon and a gold and a silver medal in shot put.
Mary Peter supported multiple charities, which are the outward bound trust and North Ireland outward bound association. A track was named after her in North Ireland called the Marry Peters. with her success she will become the next lord lieutenant of the city Belfast.
